Job Summary:

This position administers athletic training services in an Industrial space or clinic setting under the supervision of a doctor of physical therapy. These services include, but are not limited to, screenings, injury prevention programs, consults, injury assessment, treatment and case management of injured clients undergoing rehabilitation. In this position you will evaluate, document, provide education, provide immediate care, offer referrals, coordinate care of injuries and communicate with physical therapists, onsite management and operations managers.

 

Essential Functions:

  • -  Evaluates injuries and develops treatment and exercise plans within the scope of practice. Re-evaluates treatment plans, as needed, to ensure maximum patient benefit.
  •  
  • -  Implement individualized therapeutic interventions, and monitor responses to therapy to ensure client safety. Reports progress and medical changes to leadership.
  •  
  • -  Educates clients and management regarding injuries, risk factor modification, and exercise programs.
  •  
  • -  Conducts injury screening clinics, educational programs, and workshops to promote safety and injury prevention.

- Documentation and tracking of injuries and clients being treated. 

- Communicate on a weekly basis to leadership regarding ongoing cases. 

- Ability to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. 




 

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors of science degree in kinesiology

Emergency Cardiac Care certification

Licensed in the State of Kentucky 

Licensed in the State of Indiana 

Ability To Pass Background Check

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Possible lifting, bending, walking, kneeling, stretching, and stooping. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to allow for taping and massage. Requires normal hearing and eyesight to allow for patient interaction and transfer of patient information from the patient to pen chart. Ability to handle high amounts of stress.
